Andrzej Piwarski

Andrzej Jan Piwarski (1938-2025) – celebrated Polish artist, best known for his series of paintings inspired by the historical events of Solidarity and August 1980. His works are held in major public and private collections worldwide. Since beginning his career in the 1960s, Piwarski has maintained an extensive global presence – over 150 individual shows since 1967. He participated in more than 250 collective exhibitions since 1963 throughout Europe.
